Xbox 360 vs Playstation 3: Which one is the best?

With the dawning of the seventh generation of console video gaming, attention was split between Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's Playstation 3. Microsoft and Sony went head to head with their consoles whereas Nintendo’s Wii took a more roundabout approach to the video game console battle with its unique features.

Currently, all these consoles have their merits. You now have to choose yours!

Xbox 360 vs Playstation 3, comparison.

Microsoft got off to a great start when it released the Xbox 360. At the time Microsoft was already enjoying a lot of success with their Xbox. Due largely to the release of the popular video game Halo: Combat Evolved.

Xbox 360 despite being long in the market, has strengths linked to personal computers and Directx technology. But is it unbeatable? It has ATI and IBM as its components. ATI is the developer of the well known Radeon series and it is NVIDIA’s primary rival of GeForce. Also, Xbox’s Triple Core CPU unit is made by IBM.

Xbox 360 is still so popular that video games such as Gears of War sold over two million copies, within 6 weeks of its market launch.

During Playstation 3’s launch you could find little difference between the specs of Xbox 360 vs Playstation 3 technology-wise. Both processors are superb, although Playstation 3 is said to have the better one. Both have great graphics. When its comes to memory, both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 have good performance. The console accessories in both are significant in enhancing the gaming experience.

The Blu-ray technology of PS3,Playstation 3, is a strong competitor against Xbox 360’s older but more established DVD format. The format wars are heating up, but of course technology-wise, it would be better to opt for the Playstation 3. Blue-ray and it’s competitor HD DVD is the latest media storage must have. It has over ten times capacity of that of regular DVD’s. Because of this, it gives greater storage space for top games and therefore, offers more options for gamers. Also it is a lot cheaper compared to a regular BD player that costs twice the price of Playstation 3. However the Xbox 360 is also including a Blue-ray media.

The consoles battle continues and the continuing war of the Xbox 360 vs Playstation 3 is not over, with new equipment and features such as the PlayStation Network against Xbox Live to come the gamers are bound to be the winners. So choose your preference Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 or Playstation 3!

The New iPod Order: Click Wheel Dethroned, Touch Screen Crowned

I remember my first iPod very well. Shockingly, I was a little late to the party, waiting until the fourth generation iPod (now called the “iPod classic”) in 2004 to join the revolution. And I only bought one because I was planning to drive out to California (from Ohio) and I wanted enough music storage to last me the entire trip. I remember unboxing it and thinking: “wow, I can store all my ...
